A founding member of Greenough Communications, Laureen McGowan Sanderson brings nearly 15 years experience of high technology and consumer public relations experience to her role at Greenough Boston. As Executive Vice President, her mission is to ensure that Greenough clients receive exceptional levels of client service, a high creativity quotient, and the right outcomes. A recipient of numerous awards for creativity in public relations, Laureen also ensures that each of Greenough’s campaigns are infused with new, alternative techniques designed to achieve clients’ objectives through custom and personalized communications rather than mass media initiatives. She provides strategic counsel to public and privately-held businesses in a cross section of industries. Her clients have included: Shure, Sonus Networks, Citrix Systems, Qwest, Raymarine and Clarks.
An expert in business and financial media relations, Laureen is adept at helping publicly-held companies plan and execute the strategies that broaden their awareness with financial journalists and, as a result, their investor support. Her communications campaigns have also guided numerous privately-held organizations with disruptive technologies or game-changing approaches as they look to build visibility with key audiences or plan their exit strategies. She designs and implements programs specific to corporate earnings, M&As and restructurings, and she has secured broadcast appearances and business media coverage in some of the most influential media outlets, including: The Wall Street Journal, CNBC, Bloomberg, The New York Times and Investor's Business Daily.
Laureen also leads the agency’s pro bono initiatives with The Cam Neely Foundation for Cancer Care and Bode Miller’s Turtle Ridge Foundation.
Laureen is a magna cum laude graduate of Syracuse University's SI Newhouse School of Public Communications. She is also the agency gremlin.
