Greenough Communications Wins SABRE Award from The Holmes Group

Agency’s Digital Communications Group Recognized in Public Relations

Boston, MA, August 2, 2004 – The Holmes Group awarded Greenough Communications a 2003 Iron SABRE Award for the innovative use of technology in public relations. The award recognizes a campaign Greenough developed for Connected Corporation, an emerging storage software leader.

The Holmes Group SABRE Award acknowledges superior achievement in branding and reputation and demonstrates high standards in innovation, technology, and effectiveness.

Greenough provided an innovative digital solution for Connected through the construction of a specialized, online Industry Resource Center titled InterChange (www.interchange04.com). Designed to provide customers, influencers, and prospects with a vendor-agnostic resource, the site offers information, insight, and pragmatic guidance on storage management, archiving, compliance and messaging, and data protection.

To promote the site, Greenough implemented traditional public relations strategies in combination with a direct e-mail campaign that resulted in an eight percent click-through rate within the first 48 hours, compared to the two percent rate for most direct marketing campaigns. More than 500 high-level executives, analysts and media who registered within the first five weeks of the site’s launch also visited the Industry Resource Center.
